Comfort Society: Platypus Chicago Presents Capital in History

"Men make their own history, but they do not make it as they please; they do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past. The tradition of all dead generations weighs like an Alp on the brains of the living...." - Karl Marx, “The 18th Brumaire of Louise Bonaparte”

Platypus member Ant Morales will be presenting an introductory teach-in on the development of human history from a Marxist perspective.

The Platypus Affiliated Society, established in December 2006, organizes reading groups, public fora, research and journalism focused on problems and tasks inherited from the "Old" (1920s-30s), "New" (1960s-70s) and post-political (1980s-90s) Left.
