Who Taught You How to Love?

In her documentaries 'Eaten by the Heart', Zina Saro-Wiwa ponders the relationship between culture, love, and self: "I wonder how the impact of how we choreograph and culturally organize the performance of love impacts what we feel inside and who we become." Join us for a short film program and conversation around performance, politics and other matters of love. Featuring the work of Akwaeke Emezi, Shola Amoo, and more.

Screening will start at 7pm.

This program is made possible in part by a grant from Illinois Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Illinois General Assembly.
