Comfort Film and Chicago International Movies and Music Festival (CIMMFest) present 2016 festival screening:

Sweet Blues: A Film About Mike Bloomfield (2013)

Documentary
Director: Bob Sarles
Stars: Susan Beuhler, Elvin Bishop, Mike Bloomfield
Runtime: 57 min
Media: Digital Projection

Plot: Mike Bloomfield first came to national attention in the mid-60s as a member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, a favorite among the counterculture rock crowd of the era and 2015 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As a session guitarist, he played on Bob Dylan’s landmark album Highway 61 Revisited, and was the lead guitarist in Dylan’s band when he infamously “went electric” at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

Comfort Film is a venue for the 2016 Chicago International Movies and Music Festival (CIMMFest).

All CIMMFEST screenings are free.

About CIMMFEST
This is CIMMfest, the Chicago International Movies & Music Festival—a four-day showcase of outstanding films, energetic concerts, visually stunning VJ/DJ sets, lively Q&A’s, daring live score performances, industry panels and presentations…anything to show just what movies and music mean to each other. CIMMfest was imagined and brought to life by musician Josh Chicoine (Cloudbirds, The M’s) and filmmaker Ilko Davidov (BulletProof Film). Neither knew what he was getting into at the start, but hundreds of films, thousands of attendees and countless incredible experiences later, CIMMfest is a publicized, respected Chicago fixture.
