Comfort Film presents:

Chicago's Only Castle
The History of Givins' Irish Castle and Its Keepers (2011)

If you love seeing images of and hearing about Chicago’s history of the late 1800’s and beyond, this film is for you. Chicago’s Only Castle: The History of Givins’ Irish Castle and Its Keepers is a 1 ½ hour documentary about a treasure in Chicago that few people know about. The compelling stories of the five keepers of the Castle unfold against the backdrop of Chicago’s rich history, including the Great Chicago Fire, the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893, the cable-car era, the dawn of the automobile, and the Century of Progress International Exposition of 1933-34.

The film will be screened at Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave., in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago on Friday, November 18, at 8:00 p.m. Seats are limited, so come early. Filmmaker Errol Magidson will be present for Q and A.
