Opening Reception | "Most Days Not Much Happens" - Aaron Bos-Wahl and Lawrence Keaty

Opening Reception: November 5th 6-9pm
Exhibition: November 5th - November 27th

For "Most Days Not Much Happens" South Korea based artist, Lawrence Keaty and Philadelphia artist Aaron Bos-Wahl present a number of small-scale watercolors. Drawing imagery primarily from personal photographs, the work is journalistic and attempts to capture a lived experience. At the same time, the images are often imbued with qualities of symbolism, dream, and memory. Rich with fragments of narrative, the work presents windows through which to glimpse the significance of the moment.

Aaron Bos-Wahl was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received a BFA in painting and a BA in English from the University of Iowa, and he earned his MFA from Washington University in St. Louis in 2010. Currently, he lives and works in Philadelphia, where he teaches elementary art. His work has been shown at the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum and Fort Gondo Compound for the Arts in St. Louis, The Lawton Gallery at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France.

Lawrence Keaty was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He received a BA from Kenyon College with a major in Studio Art and he earned his MFA from Washington University in St. Louis in 2010. Currently, he lives and works in Busan, South Korea, where he teaches English. His work has been shown at the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum (St. Louis, MO), Lei Gallery (Taichung, Taiwan), YAT Art Fair (Taipei, Taiwan), and Public (Louisville, KY).
