Talk by Nicholas Osborn: The Innocent eye? (What We Talk About When We Talk About Snapshots)

  • Comfort Station 2579 N Milwaukee Ave Chicago, IL, 60647 United States (map)

Nicholas Osborn has been collecting snapshots for almost twenty years. He is the co-author of “Who We Were: A Snapshot History of America” and the founder of the late, much-lamented vernacular photography

The Vernacular Photography Festival is a celebration of the art and collecting of vernacular photography curated by Ron Slattery.

Over the course of 23 dates, we'll have talks by John Foster, Nakki Goranin, Ron Slattery, Shari Wilkins, Pamela Bannos, Nicholas Osborn, Albert Tanquero and Vanessa Daou.

Other events include a 3D slideshow, scopitone show, community home movie night, a photo booth provided by A&A Studios, and much much more.

There will also be a silent auction of a vintage Vivian Maier snapshot with all proceeds going to Comfort Station.
