The Fruit Stare Open Rehearsal

The Fruit Stare, (Christopher Salveter of Judson Claiborne and Jeffrey Thomas of Mucca Pazza) are collaborating on The Agreement, an experimental work of radio art that attempts to synthesize sound art, popular and unpopular music, social justice, and theatrical performance.  This work strives to review the case for African-American reparations and investigate disparate themes, including the economics of the music industry, the origins of war, the Buddhist wheel of life, colonics, and copyright law.

The group will be rehearsing their material publicly at The Logan Square Comfort Station on a handful of Saturday mornings and Monday evenings in July.  Maybe it’ll feel like some kind of ride that jostles and swerves, stopping every once and a while to tighten the screws, like watching orangutans build their nest, but using sound and language instead of leafy branches?
