CEMP Advocacy Forum Kick-Off!

  • Comfort Station 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chicago (map)

On June 30th, 2015, the Chicago Emerging Museum Professionals will hold the first public meeting of our brand new Advocacy Forum in collaboration with Museum Workers Speak (you can learn more about MWS here:http://on.fb.me/1GCnOjS).

The CEMP Advocacy Forum is for all museum and cultural workers invested in addressing issues of social justice, inclusion, and diversity in the field. We are dedicated to effecting progressive change and action in our professional community in Chicagoland and beyond...and we want you to join us!

The June 30th event will launch a series of open roundtable discussions to consider the impact of museum labor practices on diversity and inclusion within Chicago’s museums. We’ll explore key issues in-depth, with the ultimate goal of developing concrete action steps we can enact individually and collectively to improve museum and cultural institution practices in our community. Please RSVP to attend the event!

And don’t forget that the first CEMP Networking and Info Session event of the 2015-16 year is coming up! Visit http://on.fb.me/1Axamg1 to learn more and to RSVP.
